What Fetish Sellers Wish Buyers Knew

Recently the founders of Creators Spicy Tea had the idea to sit down and write out the things that I, a fetish seller, wish buyers knew. And they, a buyer, are going to write out all the things they wish sellers knew. I feel like I am missing so much and will likely do more of these as they pop into my head. So here is the start of What Fetish Sellers Wish Buyers Knew!

Not all sites are fetish/kink friendly

Not all adult content creation site such as OnlyFans, or social media site such as Instagram allow certain words, terms, fetishes or kinks to be mentioned, hinted at, or alluded to. When that creator who has been going with the flow suddenly shuts you down when you bring up a taboo fetish is not necessarily because they are yucking your yum. We are trying to not lose our accounts and who knows how much work we have put into them because you didn’t pay attention to what you agreed to when agreeing to use the site. More often than not y’all, we are punished for what you say.

So, if you bring up a taboo or other topic and a creator shuts it down and says we cannot talk about that, stop talking about it or that creator is then required to block and report you if you don’t. Just to protect themselves from your mistakes. Don’t. Get. People. Fired (banned).

Please reference this Google sheet to see what is acceptable per site. Though this is updated often please also check the actual sites terms of service.

Your payment notes that are sexual are ruining our ability to pay rent.

Anything sexual, hinting, alluding to, or referencing content creation can get our accounts banned and remove an entire method of us receiving the income we rely on to pay for our human necessities. Please when writing a payment note consider some of these:

  • Generic note like ‘lunch’ ‘gas’
  • Ask the creator what they would prefer
  • when ever possible, default to no note

Its not cute, its not funny. It leads to nothing but panic and long lasting anxiety for us. Not to mention it can absolutely lead to adverse effects on your account including account closure as well.

Age verification really is non-optional. We don’t like it either.

Maybe I am speaking for myself here, but I hate doing age verification. Its just a clunky side step in a otherwise wonderfully fun and adventurous conversation. Its awkward. We know. However, it is legally required. And honestly, were I a buyer I would feel a lot better knowing my creator isn’t selling to kids. And someone who is just looking to scam you and not provide content is less likely to give a care about age verification so that would, in my unsolicited opinion backed by very very minimal buying experience, it would make me feel a lot safer giving them my money.

I get it. Its awkward to hand over identifying info. Please remember that a creators nude body and face is also pretty damn identifying and we must follow the laws before giving ya content like that.

Technology is the beating heart of our industry. And it hates us.

Y’all, I am maybe pulling this from my direct experiences but they have to be somewhat relatable. I have had more than one person decide not to purchase due to the turn around time from my rates. Which is 45 minutes to one hour. It takes me about ten to fifteen minutes alone to actually produce the content. But then comes technology. Because even if I do no other edits, I still have to watermark. And that sucker can take another 10-15 just to export. Then we got another 5 minutes to upload.

Tech is wildly impressive in everything it can do for us, but this still takes time.

That is not even touching on what happens when the robots fight back and tech goes to the dark side. Im talking corrupted file exports that we just sat and waited forever for, full 20 minute videos that for some reason recorded without audio, I could go on and on with this.

Please be patient with us. Technology is awesome. Sometimes it sucks. We cannot make it go faster. We cannot make it go smoother. You would be much more frustrated if you were in our shoes when this happens. I promise.
