Creators’ Guide to Mental Health: Essential Resources for 2025

This has already been a tumultuous year and its not even February. I know that a lot of creators have been feeling the struggle, whether emotional, mental, or otherwise. I wanted to make a quick post compiling some mental health resources that are available for us.

Stay strong, and keep fucking fighting ♥️

Pineapple Support

Pineapple support is a non-profit organization that was “created for online adult industry professionals, by adult industry professionals.” I myself use pineapple support as my mental health resource. And let me tell you my personal experience has been fantastic.

They offer multiple routes for creators to receive support including:

Support Groups

Workshops

Individual therapy and councelling

Regarding their therapy and councelling fees:

At Pineapple Support you only pay what you can afford, we cover the rest. Every dollar you contribute is a dollar we can use to help support another performer in need of care, so please, give what you can.

And for those who need someone to speak with NOW:

They offer a 24/7 volunteer listener support. This is hosted by 7 Cups of Tea. This is not a crisis line! Crisis lines will be listed below.

My Experience with Pineapple Support

My therapist name was Darcy. I just finished my program with her 2 days ago. I am going to be so honest with you guys, I sobbed when we said goodbye that final time. This woman who only charged $35 per meeting for me, and that was because that was the number I set at the beginning (could have said $1 could have said a million dollars), made such an impact in my life. She helped me restructure and re-prioritize and review my work processes, alongside my personal life’s processes.

Walking away after those 16 meetings with her, I can say I have, after a lifetime of therapy, finally encountered a therapist who approached her practice the way I needed, and helped me make the changes I needed. She completely understood and respected my extensive education, experience and understanding of psychology. And she is the only therapist I ever experienced who did not seem to standardize her practices.

Instead of having what felt like a standardized, practiced meeting, every single meeting felt specifically tailored to my needs in that moment. If all I wanted to do that day was talk shit, we just talked shit. If I needed to cry, she gave me the space to cry. If I just needed to celebrate with someone, she was right there to celebrate with me. Pineapple support the program itself was incredibly easy and user friendly to work with as well.

When it comes to the elephant in the room of working in adult content creation, There was no friction. There was no awkwardness. There was acceptance, tolerance, and even more importantly, education. There was an understanding of our business, and the hats we have to wear everyday, and the traumas and the experiences we have every single day. And that is absolutely invaluable in my opinion. That made a huge difference for me. I felt like I could be very open about what I experience day today with her.

Walking away from my time with pineapple support I am more than willing to sit here and promote them to everybody who might possibly need them. It is worth it to get the help.
