Available Now: Adult Content Creators Business Plan Template

Hey hey y’all!

So recently I sat down with a Creator who mentioned feeling like she needed a written down game plan for her content career just to make it all make a little bit more sense. Well, hilariously enough it made me think of the absolutely awful business plan that I made for myself when I started this. I call it awful because it was basically just a notepad with a ton of different concepts written out.

That business plan, as messy and as chaotic as it was, has actually helped me almost every step of the way through this career. It helped me understand the reasons I’m here and where I want to go with this. And her bringing up that she might need something similar made me realize that there is no business plan template out there for adult content creators.

So, what I ended up doing was taking that business plan template that I had made for myself in my beginning, and cleaned her up, got it looking real good and packed with the info that we need, with fill in sections lining out all the decisions that we need to make, and now I have it available for everyone!

The video above explains it a heck of a lot better, but I’m also going to put the transcript below just in case anyone doesn’t want to listen but would rather read!

It is available now in the shop over on the creators spicy tea website! We are likely to not have it be listed here, just due to the fees that would incur here. This way we can keep the cost lower for it so it’s more accessible to anyone who needs it.

Starting a career in spicy content often feels very isolating and can very much feel like walking down a pitch black path in the middle of the woods, full of obstacles, with no shoes and no way to see where the hell you’re going next. Maybe you can relate. Do you ever just feel like you are making guess and check decisions in the moment?

Or maybe you are just diving headfirst into your content career without knowing exactly what you want, why the hell you want it? Yeah, maybe it’s about time you sit down and make yourself a genuine business plan.

Creator Spicy Tea has always had the firm belief that each creator are running their own individual small businesses. And we prescribe by the belief that each individual should be running our content creation as if it is a business. Because again, it is. One of the very first steps a brand new business will take is to create a business plan.

Business plans help businesses clarify things like their visions, their goals, and it’s all in order to take these vague ideas that they have and turn them into actual strategy. This can kind of help make informed and solidified decisions for them for everything from like target audience to offerings to pricing to promotion, you name it.

This tends to mean fewer surprises and smarter decisions. This can also help businesses stay organized and accountable because when everything is written down, it is easier to stay focused and track progress to then be able to adjust when needed. Business plans are not just used by businesses to help them start up though.

They’re also shown to increase profitability and scalability by strategizing prices, upselling opportunities, and making again, more efficient and optimized decisions. And it can help businesses prepare for long term growth, whether that looks like hiring help or extending to new opportunities or you know, even launching new products and services.

y’. All. It’s kind of a rule of thumb that businesses that plan are businesses that scale. That solidified foundation helps make growth smoother and safer. And I just have to interject here, um, if you hear screaming, my pool is very full of screaming people. So I apologize. But let’s look at how to make this adult content.

Why should adult content creators make business plans? Right? Because again, this is a, uh, business. And that is whether you are just at your very beginning or again, you are looking to scale up. You are managing content production, marketing, pricing, client communication and risk. Just like any and all, uh, entrepreneurs out there

Business plans help us stop treating our content business just like a hustle. And it will help start, make us start treating it like a goddamn career. There are like a million and ten templates out there for business plans for your generic entrepreneurial adventure. But what we did here at Creator Spicy Tea was make one specifically dedicated to adult content creators for y’, all, for me, for all of us.

I’m, um, going to kind of introduce that template now and kind of go over it together, see if it might be able to help someone. This is not your basic corporatized spreadsheet or some, um, figure out how to make it fit our industry nonsense. Nope. This is 100% meant to help you make a real strategic plan that reflects what we actually do and what we want to do.

It’s going to cover everything from your Persona to your content to your limits, to your prices, to, you name it, it’s in here. This is a fill in the blank digital and printable workbook. It’s designed, again, specifically for us, for adult content creators. It’s not vague, it’s not full of fluff, it’s not some recycled bullshit, y’All. This is specifically for what we need. This is real world planning based on the actual business plan that I had initially made for myself when I first started this career. Let me just say, it’s much prettier now. It’s much more put together now because I didn’t know what the fuck I was doing then.

anyway, let’s go through it. These first few pages are going to be asking you kind of the really hard questions and they’re really hard to answer. So the first section asks you, I’m sorry, but it’s important to figure out, why are you doing this? Why are you here? Are you here primarily for financial gain?

Are you here for personal evolution or opportunities? Or are you just that flowy, creative person who found a passion in this kind of art? I’m going to tell you so that might be one that you’re going to think, oh, I’m going to skip that and come back to it.

No, it is so important to write these down right now. Right now. Whether you’re right at your beginning or whether you’re looking to scale, right now is the time to have these written. Because in the future, when you’re in the weeds, when shit’s going sideways, when the bullshit meter is topped out all the way red, it is so incredibly easy to forget why you want to do this.

But having it written down and being able to come back to it when you are again neck deep in the woods of bullshit, it helps. It helps pull you back out and recenter yourself into your purpose.

The next thing we cover are our goals. So just having your goals, okay, maybe this is just me, but I’m going to assume maybe someone else out there is my kind of neuro spicy. But just having my goals written down and knowing exactly what I want to accomplish again, in my mind, it’s kind of the only ways to actually accomplish them.

Because like, think about how much we have to do or you’re going to have to do like every single goddamn day for this. There is a onslaught of tasks that come all throughout the day, from scheduling to client management to content creation to, you name it. It can be so hard to just get lost in the upkeep that it is so easy to forget that we’re here for a purpose.

It’s so easy to forget where we’re going in the future by being bogged down with what we have to do in the current. Writing out the goals will help be that tangible reminder that all those little things we’re doing, they’re adding up to something bigger that we’re trying to reach.

Now, uh, the next section. I know we’ve discussed business models here before in adult content creation, but knowing what kind of business models you want to get into right away is going to really help you pinpoint your strategy. So instead of shotgunning onto every type of platform out there, which is what I did, uh, let’s try km let’s try in person, let’s try, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

It took me a while, but being able to pinpoint that it’s so much easier to prioritize and optimize for the business models you want to try. And again, don’t worry if you did not see or read the resource on adult content creation business models, y’. All. I linked that resource in this template for you.

This template, like just a side note, literally packed with resources that are hyperlinked within it to help make you, uh, just planning and filling out your business plan so much easier.

next section after that is all about your Persona. The biggest question that uh, people come to me for one on one coaching or help and mentoring is I don’t know what my brand is, I don’t know what my niche is. And that’s okay to not know. This section asks the questions that you need to be able to answer to help define that.

Questions that are like softball, like what’s your Persona’s name? And what’s their kind of username? And then the hard shit, what’s their personality, what is their backstory, what is their general appearance? Things like that having those written down are going to help you define your brand and define your niche.

And we know already that going into our content creation strategy, brand and niche focused, is so important. Then we come to our limits and terms. It’s so crucial to know your limits and your terms from day one and know, um, the terms that your clients must follow to interact with you from day one.

Don’t try and guess and remember them, please believe me. That’s what I did in my beginning. And that led to, uh. I was gonna say that led to me getting hurt, but no, it didn’t. That led to me hurting my own damn self and allowing other people to accidentally do that without them meaning to.

Without them knowing they were pushing my boundaries because I didn’t have them defined. So this section will help you do that. Then we get into a safety checklist. Remember, your safety is number one most important goddamn aspect of this industry. As I said, we have different risks than most industries.

We need to have all of our P’s and Q’s and T’s and I’s and blah blah, blah, all ready to go when it comes to safety. This checklist will help you do that. This section is also pretty, pretty jam, jam, jam jam packed with external resources and tools that you could use as well.

Then after that, we look at defining our offerings and services. So each offering section is broken down to help you even more with further questions like where are you going to be conducting the sale, where are you getting your payment, how are you advertising this service, or what have you, what limitations need to be on each individual service?

Because it is okay to have a limit here, but not have that be a limit there, and things like where are you going to perform this? There’s also a section to help you define the pricing for it. I promise you, my pinky, having these written out at the beginning will help you create your menu and go into your career prepared and knowledgeable on what you you can actually offer your clients.

And not only what you can offer, but what you want to offer.

Then after that, there’s sections for your promotional and your paid platform strategies. Each one breaks down every little goddamn detail you need to know. So for your paid platforms, each section has a breakdown for the content types you want to provide on the platform, the pricing for the platform, um, posting frequency, DM strategy, etc. Etc. Etc. The promotional platforms in structure look really similar, except just very, very, very different. So yes, it also covers posting frequency and content types, right? But there’s also a section for your SEO or Hashtag strategy. Having a hashtag or keyword bank is a great idea. Write them down here.

It has sections for things even like your DM M strategy or your shadow ban or, you know, complete get the fuck off the platform ban backup plans. You, y’, all, okay? You name it. I tried to make sure this template covers it. When I created this for myself at the beginning of my career, it was not so pretty, definitely not so put together, because again, no fucking clue what I was doing back then.

Well, handful of years later, I know a little bit more now. And what I wanted to do with this business plan template was put in one place. Everything I wish I had known and I had decided prior to starting. This adult content creator’s business plan template is available over on the Creators spicy Tea store, which is creatorspicytea Co Shop.

So whether you’re just starting in the industry or, again, you are starting to scale or, you know, even if you’re looking at a complete and total rebrand, this is the template you need to get your shit organized, keep yourself safe, and keep yourself on plan right. All righty, y’All, thanks for sitting down with me today. I hope you guys are doing good and, um, a little bit more than that, though. I hope you’re safe, I hope you’re sane, and holy shit, uh, I hope you are thriving.
