In 2023 I sat down and I wrote about my physical content creation beginnings and my journey head first into it. I then sat down and updated it in 2024. I figured today I could share that journey with yall.
First we dive into November 2023, when I very first decided to take a crack at physical content creation. After that I share my ‘Year Later’ update from December 2024.
Below that is a road map to all of our physical content creation resources!
November 2023
We all know the golden rule: Diversification is survival in this industry. That is why we have multiple social media platforms we keep up, many times multiple platforms, multiple income streams etc. I myself almost exclusively sell digital content and with the market as wild as it is now, that was an area I decided I needed to diversify. So I am diving head first into my physical content creation journey. I am having to completely learn this side of the industry from the ground up, so I figured I would bring you along on my journey!
To clarify, at this point in time, I have had two total physical sales in my career. Both have led to long term buyers and one even left me a glowing review on r/fetishbuyerscommunity. But in comparison to the thousands of digital sales I have done, I am a brand new baby. I am learning this from the ground up. I am going to be journaling this out pretty much step by step. To share any education I come across, and also to share any hard learned lessons along the way.
I decided right away that I was going to be selling panties, bras, and socks. The first step was figuring out everything I was going to need before even considering diving in. Yall my notepads are full to the brim with chicken scratch and barely understandable, otherwise I would share. But my brainstorm looked something like this:
Supplies I Needed/Wanted For Physical Sales
Supplies List:
- Panty Drawer
- I already have a subscription to dropbox, so I decided to make a folder there
- Menu for base prices and any extras
- Ads and promotional content
- Media concepts
- Caption concepts
- Places to actually sell and promote
- Mailers
- Photo printer
- I have decided to add a physical picture with every sale as proof of wear after one of my buyers said they would have loved that.
- Stationary
- To write out a surprise thank you note.
- Shipping service?
- To hopefully cut down on the cost of goods in shipping fees.
- Sticker labels
- To print my own shipping labels and avoid waiting in line at the post office.
- Vacuum sealer and bags
- Bulk variety of panties and bras to sell
- I already have more socks than I know what to do with, so no need for more there.
My Costs
I decided to start with the menu and base prices. To do that I had to go in depth and look at my total costs of providing the content. I am breaking down with the exact number how I calculated that. I know I am personally a visual learner, so if I see a process done I am able to learn it faster, so this is for anyone else who learns like I do.
Overhead
- Internet- Total bill $90 per month, Percentage used for my content business 50%
- 90 x .5= $45. I pay $45 a month in internet costs for my business
- Estimated percentage used for physical sales 25%
- 45 x .25= $11.25. I estimate that per month I will have $11.25 of my internet bill dedicated to physical selling, promoting, creating, etc
- Utilities- Average monthly $70, Percentage used for my content business 25%
- 70 x .25= $17.5. I pay $17.25 a month in utilities for running my business.
- Estimated percentage used for physical sales %25
- 17.25 x .25= $4.37 I estimate that per month I will have $4.37 of my utility bill dedicated to physical sales.
- Rent- Total bill $1900 per month, Percentage used for my content business 10%
- 1900 x .1= $190. I pay $190 per month in rent costs for my business
- Estimated percentage of time that space will be used for physical sale 15%
- 190 x .25= $28.5. I estimate that per month I will have $28.5 of my rent bill dedicated to physical sales
Total Overhead Costs: 44.12
Cost Of Goods Sold
- Individual item price: n? (too varied to fully guess just yet)
- Too varied to really calculate. Will have to be factored into individual sales as they happen
- Shipping: $9.95 USPS on average (buyers will cover this per sale)
- Packaging: flat rate envelope (free from post office)
- Stationary: $8.29 per 48 sheets
- 8.29 / 48= $0.17 per sheet (one sheet per sale)
- Photo paper: $24.85 per 50 sheets
- 24.85 / 50= $0.50 per sheet (one sheet per sale)
- Gas mileage for total trip: $0.32
- I used this resource to calculate this
- Labels: (negligible amount per sale)
Total Cost of Goods Sold: $0.99 + item price
Cost Of Labor:
- Base price (for 1 full day wear): $2.00 per hour, $48 per day
- I determined this through a number of factors and decided on the rate due to the fact that, well, I’d be wearing something anyway, however, this is removing my overall choice of what to wear from the equation.
- Add ons/ Extras:
- Extra second day wear: $1.00 per hour, $24 per day
- I am keeping this rate lower as an incentive to ask for longer wears and further content and to stay competitive.
- Extra third day wear: $1.25 per hour, $30 per day
- This is where some potential health concerns come in, so I added a small amount extra here.
- Play/masturbation session un-recorded: $1.00 per minute, and I estimate my time per session to be 10 minutes, $10 per session
- Not showering: +$10.00 per day, I usually accidentally skip one day here or there anyway (because exhausted at end of day), so this is not the biggest deal for me.
- Any extra photos, shooting and editing: $10 per image
- Any recorded content: $10.00 per minute, my original base rate for customs.
- Extra second day wear: $1.00 per hour, $24 per day
Total Cost of Labor: $48.00+
That brings my total monthly costs to be recouped to $45.11. I reached that number by adding together my (overhead + cost of goods sold, not including an item price). That would make my total per sale costs assuming five sales per month $57.02. I calculated that by this formula: [(monthly costs, not including individual item price/ 5 sales per month) + Per sale Labor)].
Industry Standard Pricing
From that information it was time to decide prices. But first, let’s look at what the market industry standards are. This information has been gathered from r/fetishbuyerscommunity
Base Rates:
- Panties Base Rate: $25-$45
- Bras Base Rate: $30-$70
- Lingerie Sets Base Rate: $50-$120
- Socks, Stockings, Panyhose:
- Socks: $15-$30
- Stockings and pantyhose: $30-$70
Extras:
- Extra days of wear – $5-$15 with the more days you add on potentially raising this price
- Specialty/Fetish wear – $10-$20 over base price or per add on (No Wipes/Stuffing)
- Play sessions – $5-$15
- Workouts – $5-$15
- No Showers – $5-$15
Most sellers include shipping and up to two digital proof of wear pictures with the price. Most sellers offer expedited shipping to buyers if the buyer wants to pay the difference.
Deciding My Pricing
Now I know the industry standards, and my overall costs to create and provide this content, now it is time to set prices. I wanted to make some form of profit here, but also wanted to stay competitive in the market. I am banking on buyers wanting extras of some sort to really see profit.
I decided each of my orders will include: discreet packaging, a thank you note, the vacuum sealed content and a physical picture for proof of wear and a personal keepsake. The base price will cover only one day’s wear. Shipping is only included in the price if the buyer spends more than $150. This will provide a slight incentive to request more add ons. My maximum days wear for safety and health will be 3 days.
After I am able to build the community standing that was mentioned above, I may consider pricing up my best selling products.
Base Prices:
- Panties: $50 (+n if name brand or an expensive pair)
- Bras: $70 (+n if name brand or an expensive pair)
- Socks: $35
- Stockings/pantyhose: $60
Extras and Add Ons:
- Recorded videos: $10 per minute
- Extra photos besides the physical one: $10 each, +$5 if a fetish request for image
- Extra second day wear: $25
- Third day wear: $30
- If third day is requested both the $25 for the second day AND the $30 for the third day will be charged totalling $55
- Third day wear: $30
- Play session off camera: $20 per session for an estimated 10 minutes
- No shower for second day: $15
- No shower for third day: $25
- Any fetish requests: $15 per request
With my base prices set, I needed to look at start up costs to then determine how many sales I need per month to recuperate all costs, and an estimate of how many months it may take.
Start Up Costs
I will link all of the items I purchased here in the case that you would be looking for them. Note: NONE of these are affiliate links and I have yet to receive some of them. I will update this with reviews and send a notification when that is done.
- ½ sheet sticker paper (labels): 100 sheets, $9.59
- This helps me avoid going to the post office for labels and I can print them on a regular inkjet printer
- Photo printer and photo paper bundle: $94.84
- I found that this option was cheaper than a polaroid and this gives me the option to edit them before printing.
- For future photo paper purchases: 50 sheets, $24.85
- Stationary: 48 sheets, $8.95
- Mailer: FREE
- Vacuum sealer: $38.99
- Vacuum seal bags: 100 bags pre cut, $13.99
- Variety thong set: 10 pieces, $18.99
- Variety full back panty set: 6 pieces, $12.39
- Variety pack of bras: 6 pieces, $37.95
Total Spent Start Up Costs To Recoup: 260.54
Estimated amount of time to recoup assuming 5 buys per month, panty no extras: Roughly one month
So, what this means to me is the first month I likely will see no profit. However, keep in mind this is all tax deductible.
Places and Communities to Promote/Sell
Prices are set up, I know what to expect my first month, and I know what procedures I want to follow. The next step is finding where in the hell to sell. Note: These subreddits listed below are specific to my needs and are note the complete list of areas to sell. These are listed from largest subreddit to the smallest.
- R/SexSells -Already a trusted and verified seller
- R/FetishLife -Already a verified seller

The Panty Drawer
What the panty drawer is is a collection of all the items that you have for sale held on an online content hosting platform. I decided to use dropbox as I already have a premium account with them.
I set my sharing settings as follows:
- Sharing the link that only allows viewing.
- Anyone with the link can view.
- I made it to where only the owner can add people to the folder to prevent any un-savories from joining.
- I also set it to where I can see who has viewed.
I organized my folders (titled The Drawer) as follows:
- Socks and stockings
- Short socks (ankle and shorter)
- Long Socks (calf and longer)
- Nylons
- Panties
- Thongs and G-strings
- Thongs
- G Strings
- Full Back
- Thongs and G-strings
- Bras
- Without Underwire
- With Underwire
Shipping Service
I learned about Pirate Ship from a more experienced physical content creator and yall I am stoked. To start, it offers discounted rates on shipping. I checked the rates it would be for my last buyer, knowing he wants to purchase again. The standard rate from the post office for a priority flat rate envelope was $9.95. To send using Pirate Ship it was $7.60. You are also able to get rate quotes prior to making a label. To further explain why I am excited to use this platform, you are able to pay and print your stamps from home, and you are able to put the return address as the buyer’s address to help protect your exact location.
Pirate Ship can be found here.
Promotional Content Concepts
To look into how I want to promote and sell, both with captions and with media, I have a little tip. Go to the subreddit, website or platform you are considering selling on. Look at the top performing posts from the past week, the past month, and the past 24 hours. Get an idea of what works in that specific space. Then, use it as inspiration and emulate it. But if or when doing this, be absolutely sure to add in you. Your style, your niche, your brand. Take inspiration from others, but find a way to make your content your own.
Okay, this was all day one of my journey into physical content creation. Thank yall for hanging out through this. I know it was pretty number dense. But, let me know if we want to continue this series!
December 2024 Update
Looking back at this boy oh boy did I price some things differently than I do now when I started. My current menu is below so you can compare and contrast the prices above, redacted for lewd imagery.
As you can see I raised the price on bras and lingerie sets, I also started including gym wear such as sports bras and gym shorts. I increased the cost of custom videos per minute but I did lower the price of custom photos. There were a lot of changes in the extras as well.
That cost of labor estimate I am willing to say right now was very high. I would not say the labor involved in this is $48+ per day. I would be more willing to say it’s more down to the $24 to $28 a day
As for the overall packaging and structure of my sales, the photo that is printed is only offered for orders over $70. And I have learned in further experience that most buyers genuinely will prefer to have digital copies over any physical copy. But there are definitely a handful out there that I have worked with that love that physical copy.
I still include vacuum sealing, which far and beyond has been such a good investment. Buyers go crazy about that being offered. Every single one has said it helps enhance the experience and preserve the product in shipping.
My panty drawer has a brand new home. It is now located on my website. It is significantly less structured into files, but I have been told by many buyers that they love the format of it, and they highly appreciate the ease of getting around it. And the way the product is all displayed has been said to be “top notch”. If you would like to visit that website you can follow that QR code or the link that is in that image at the bottom of the menu. That website is for adults who are 18 years or older only. By visiting that site you are agreeing to the fact that you are over the age of 18.
Five sales a month was wishful thinking some months, and under planning other months. I have had months where I have had zero physical sales, and then I’ve had months where I have had 8 to 9. Across the board people are mentioning that physical sales tend to be looking like they’re down. And digital content sales on the other hand have risen.
I do still use the same shipping service, Pirate Ship, with the same shipping packages with the note and the vacuum sealed item. I get the bubble mailers from USPS by a bulk of like a hundred for free by just popping down to the post office and requesting it.
Some notes I’ve learned about shipping is to reconsider sharing the tracking link with the buyer. Reason being is it shows where the package is coming from and we don’t need them to know that. So what I do is I offer to track it for them and send them screenshots of the tracking process whenever they ask. Also if you do use pirate ship, they do require both a send to and forwarding address. I always use the buyer’s address As the return address as well as the send. Pirate ship also requires a phone number to contact in case the package is lost. I do not want to put my phone number on there just to keep myself as separate as possible, so I use a app called burner. I pay for a burner phone line and it just sits there unless something goes wrong with a package That way I will still be in the know, but also no one is seeing my actual information.
That is roughly the bulk of the differences, most everything else is pretty close to the same. That pricing breakdown I did in 2023 set me up to still maintain a profitable portion of my business through this, and also really helped me practice going through the technical and logistical steps of pricing my content. I highly suggest going through this process for anyone who is going to start selling physical goods.
