New Reddit Features | How to Use Them as Adult Content Creators
The landscape of Reddit is changing y’all! Recently Reddit has been rolling out new Reddit features that we can use as adult content creators to better manage our clients, promote our content, and hone our strategy. Here is a handful that has been recently rolled out and how we as adult content creators can use them!
Expanded Analytics
Y’all know I am a data whore. I don’t make gas and check decisions with any aspect of my business, I let the numbers and the data tell me what to do. Now Reddit has expanded data analytics from what we originally had. Now at the top of the analytics screen it will show what ranking the post is from your posts, along with the ranking the post is in terms of the subreddit for that day. It still shows you the views per hour along side upvotes, shares, cross posts, awards comments, and upvote ratio (the percentage of upvotes versus down votes) as per usual, however now it is also showing demographic information, alongside top comments.
This is great especially if you have a specific demographic that you are hoping to reach, this can help you know whether or not you are on the correct path.

Comment Analytics
Even sexier (in my opinion) than the expanded post analytics is the newer comment analytic section. This section now gives you insight into the country demographic that your comment has reached, the total amount of views, you’re upvote ratio, shares, awards, replies, top replies and upvote count.
If you are working to boost your comment karma, this can be a great way to monitor what types of comments are performing better, versus which ones are becoming more controversial overall.

Comment Drafts
Have you ever been halfway through writing a detailed comment reply to an ad, or giving in depth advice to another creators post, and you just have to close your comment really quick to check something on the post… And you forget to copy your work? It used to be that that comment would be gone, and you are at square one? It looks like that is a thing of the past! Now there is a feature for drafting your comments. If you go to close out while typing a comment rather than posting it, it gives you an option to save it as a draft first. Drafts can be found in the section below.

Keyword Tracking
Though it seems this is being rolled out very slowly, Reddit appears to be implementing its own keyword tracking feature. It can be found on mobile by opening your left hand menu, and there will be a bell at the top that says add keywords. You type in your keywords, and as they appear across the platform you get a notification in your notifications inbox. I’m going to tell you guys right now, this thing is not great so far. I am not getting many alerts for keywords that I absolutely tested by posting myself from other accounts across different subreddits and profiles. This definitely seems to be something that is still in progress. For now I am sticking with F5Bot (more on that can be found here).

Persistent Messaging
I know we have all experienced having a long chat with a potential buyer and then BAM! Next day all of their messages are gone and all that remains is ours. That is now a thing of the past with persistent messaging. Persistent messaging disallows and disables the feature that made it to where either member could delete any messages that they had sent previously from both sides of the conversation. This is hugely going to come in handy when reporting scammers and other nasty behaviors.

Pinned Chats
I think my favorite new feature that has been rolled out is pinned chats. Now we have the opportunity to pin specific chats that we choose, up to five separate chats, to the top of our inbox. This is amazing if you have a buyer that you are currently working on content with, or you have a potential perspective who is expressing interest but might need a day or two to decide. To pin a chat you either press and hold it on mobile, swipe it to the right on mobile, or on desktop you simply press and hold on the chat.

Customized Profile Views
Y’all also know that I have screamed from the rooftops how incredibly important it is to separate your selling profile from your creator community and advice posts and comments. We do that to keep our private Creator spaces a little bit safer. Well, now there isn’t as much of a need for a entirely separate profile. Now something you can do is go in and customize what subreddits post and comments show up on your profile. Instead of having a completely separate account, you could go in select all of your promotional subreddits to show, while keeping the Creator community and advice subreddits unselected so they do not appear on your profile.
