Physical Content Tips Tricks and What to NEVER Do
Physical Content selling can be tricky to nail down and get the flow right. Adding in the physical goods aspect can trip people up easily. Here are some tips, hacks, and things to avoid when it comes to selling panties, socks, clippings, and any other physical goods!
Get the Shipping Address
As soon as payment is received, get the shipping address. Do not wait until after you have prepared and packaged the item for shipping. I have made that mistake and it delayed the package a day by the time the buyer saw me asking for it. A delay in shipping can easily lead to the panty spoiling or the scent diminishing. Get the address up front. Be sure to have them double and triple check it for accuracy, and you yourself need to double and triple check it prior to shipping.
Customer Service Post-sale
Don’t cold shoulder your buyer once the sale has been made. At minimum give daily updates on the wear. This will keep them from feeling nervous or anxious. If your buyer however is wanting full blown GFE amounts of communication, it is more than fair to gently set down boundaries. The buyer is looking to experience you, not just the panty.
Length of Wear
Whether the wear is for a day or a week, we must wear the panty the entire agreed upon time. 1 day is equivalent to a full 24 hours. Buyers can absolutely tell when this is fudged.
Photo Updates
Also called proof of wear photos, these are seen as a part of the panty wear purchase. I send two per day, one the morning and one in the evening. Be prepared to at minimum send one picture per day of wear.
Packaging for Shipment
Find out from your buyer if he wants the panties to be packed damp, or dry. Fold the panty neatly prior to packaging. Once folded you have a couple widely used options for sealing them.
- Insert them into a Ziploc baggie, making sure to remove as much air as possible. Then insert that bag into another ziplock, again removing the air. This will help prevent the panty from ‘spoiling’ in the case the first bag loosens.
- Some sellers, like myself, offer vacuum sealing. My clients have all heavily preferred thee vacuum seal.
After you have sealed the panties using one of the above methods, use a plain, discreet bubble mailer. It is so tempting to get mailers, packaging, etc that is cute and embellished and more to your brand. But, most buyers are heavily relying on discretion.
Shipping Procedure
Ship out the panty as soon as possible after packaging. Don’t wait a few days. The panty starts to ‘spoil’ the second you take it off. So don’t remove and package until you are ready to go to the post office and send it off. Use a label printing service such as pirateship.com to reduce costs and be able to print them at home. Doing this removes the problem of waiting in line at the post office. You can purchase label sheets for cheap on Amazon. For the return address some sellers use a PO Box. If doing this avoid using your name, or even your stage name on the label. This is to better protect their privacy and discretion. To be fully safe I place their address as the ship-to and return.
Proof of Shipment
It is important to provide the buyer with proof of drop off or shipment. This can look like providing a tacking link, taking a picture of you dropping the package into the box, a photo of a shipment receipt etc. This helps buyer know when to expect their package, and lets them know the order has been fulfilled. When it comes to tracking links, I do not provide them to the buyer. They show the city and state the item is shipped from which is a safety risk in my mind. Instead I send an image of me dropping it off and offer to fill them in on the tracking status any time they ask.
Track Your Orders
Track all of your orders for physical content you receive. This should include the order details, client username, shipment date, etc. Don’t rely on chat to store it all as buyers may delete accounts or wipe chats for safety and privacy. I do this using my Client and Order Tracker.
Final Thoughts
If you keep these little notes in mind physical content selling and the processes that go with it will be much smoother and easier to navigate!
