Comprehensive Comparison of Adult Content Platforms
The world of adult content creation offers various platforms where independent creators can monetize content and connect with fans. Each platform, be it OnlyFans, Fansly, ManyVids, LoyalFans, FanCentro, or MintStars, has its own style, features, payout systems, and terms of service. The platforms listed are in no way an exhaustive list. Below is a comprehensive comparison, focusing on internal promotion (discoverability), live cam capabilities, direct messaging, payout specifics, and content policy differences for each platform that was listed. I will do my absolute human best to avoid my biasis getting in here…. but I ain’t promising anything.

OnlyFans
Platform & Audience
OnlyFans is the most prominent subscription-based adult content platform, boasting over 2 million creators and 170+ million users worldwide. Its the household name still when it comes to adult content. It operates like a private social feed: fans subscribe monthly (creators set rates averaging $4.99–$49.99) to access exclusive photos, videos, and posts. However, OnlyFans offers little to no internal discoverability. Meaning there’s no easy way for new users to browse or search for creators. In fact, OnlyFans’ native search tool won’t list adult creators without an exact name or link, due to its privacy/anonymity stance. This means creators largely rely on external promotion (Twitter, Instagram, etc.) to gain subscribers.
Features
OnlyFans provides a variety of monetization and engagement tools. Creators can post a feed of content for subscribers, send pay-per-view (PPV) messages, create custom content, engage in live services such as sexting, receive tips, and even live stream video content to fans. Direct messaging (DMs) is a core feature, allowing one-on-one chats and mass messaging of PPV content to all followers. While OnlyFans supports live streaming and messaging, it lacks more novel features some competitors offer (for example, it does not support multi-tier subscription levels in one profile. Because of this creators must make a separate free page for free content). Its interface is user-friendly but somewhat basic, and some users criticize the site’s content management (e.g. difficulty tracking purchased content or avoiding duplicate buys)(source: one of the many reasons I left the platform).
Payout & Commission
OnlyFans takes a 20% cut of creators’ earnings (80% to the creator). Earnings are held in a pending balance for 7 days after a fan makes a payment. Within that seven days and at any time the purchaser can reverse the payment. This is a chargeback and onlyfans will not protect or cover any chargebacks made by a purchaser. Creators can withdraw funds upon reaching a minimum of $20 in earnings. Withdrawals can be set to manual or automatic (weekly, biweekly, or monthly), and once processed it typically takes ~3–5 business days for the money to reach the creator’s bank. It is not unheard of to take anywhere from 2-5 days even longer. OnlyFans supports payout via bank transfer (ACH), international wire, certain e-wallets (e.g. Paxum), and other methods like Visa direct or virtual credit card transfer. Overall, the payout schedule is reliable, though new creators in some regions face a longer 21-day holding period for their first few months.
Content Policy
OnlyFans allows sexually explicit adult content, but with strict limitations in its Terms of Service. The platform enforces a long list of banned content categories and even filters certain words from messages/posts. For example, violent or non-consensual themes (even as roleplay) are forbidden. These include words like “rape,” “forced,” or “abduction” and even the word “meet” can trigger suspensions. Any suggestion of underage content (e.g. terms like “teen” or “young” in a sexual context) is strictly banned. Fetishes involving bodily fluids are not allowed on OnlyFans; terms like “pee,” “scat,” “vomit,” “blood,” or even “lactation” are banned in content and DMs. Extreme BDSM or harmful acts (torture, asphyxiation, etc.) are similarly disallowed. OnlyFans also prohibits content involving illegal drug use and public sex acts that could be considered indecent exposure. Something to know is that YOU are going to be held responsible for how your DMs are held to thesse terms of service. If a subscriber consistently is sending things that violate the TOS or are pushing you to do so, report, block, be done.
In 2021, OnlyFans infamously announced (and then reversed) a ban on “sexually explicit” material, causing lingering worry among adult creators. While that ban was revoked, it highlighted that OnlyFans’ policies are influenced by payment processor pressures. Today, OnlyFans still supports a broad range of mainstream adult content, but creators need to stay within the platform’s conservative content rules or risk removal.

Fansly
Platform & Audience
Fansly emerged in 2021 as a major alternative to OnlyFans, especially during the uncertainty of OnlyFans’ policy changes. It operates similarly with subscription-based feeds, but offers better internal discovery features. Fansly users can explore a “For You” page of trending creators and use a search bar to find creators or specific content hashtags on the platform. Fansly also lets potential fans follow creators for free and preview some content before subscribing. These features give creators a shit load more built-in promotion than OnlyFans (where discovery is basically non-existent). That said, external marketing is still crucial. Most Fansly creators still rely on promoting via Twitter, TikTok, Reddit, etc., to drive traffic. That said, it is not unhear of for some to rely on the ‘FYP’ (for you page). Fansly’s user base is smaller than OnlyFans’ but growing rapidly, and many top OnlyFans creators have opened Fansly accounts to diversify their income.
Features
Fansly’s feature set closely mirrors OnlyFans (subscriptions, paid posts, tips, DMs, etc.) with a few enhancements. Notably, Fansly supports multi-tier subscriptions in a single account. Creators can offer different subscription levels (e.g. Bronze/Silver/Gold tiers) at different prices with varying content access. A feature that OnlyFans lacks. Fansly also allows creators to host live streams for their fans (integration with streaming software like OBS is supported). Like OF, Fansly has mass messaging for pay-per-view content blasts to all followers, and it provides detailed analytics dashboards for creators to track their earnings and engagement stats. And yall, when I say detailed I mean the data is so sexy. So, so, sexy. The user interface is generally praised as slightly more modern and user-friendly than OnlyFans. If you pair Fansly’s interface with Fangrowths extension…. its literally amazing. Fansly allows posting of both free and paid content on one profile, making it easier to manage promotional freebies versus subscriber-only posts. Overall the platform is newer and frequently adds features or updates based on community feedback.
Community and Support
Fansly is very much so more available to creators than OnlyFans. They have multiple subreddits where creators can reach out with concerns and questions. In those subreddits not only is there community based support but the actual employees from Fansly are there too. Those subbreddits to join are:
Payout & Commission
Fansly’s business model is the same 80/20 split as OnlyFans – it takes 20% of earnings and pays creators 80%. The payout process has some differences in timing and options. Like OF, Fansly imposes a 7-day hold on new earnings before they become withdrawable. However, Fansly pays out faster once you initiate a withdrawal: payments are typically completed in 1–2 business days, versus ~3–5 days on OnlyFans. Fansly also supports a wider range of payout methods, including traditional bank transfer (ACH), international wires, Paxum, Skrill, and even cryptocurrency payouts. The minimum payout amount depends on the method – e.g. $20 minimum for e-wallets like Paxum, $50 for SEPA bank transfers, and $100 for international SWIFT wires or crypto. Creators worldwide can find a suitable option, and Fansly’s use of crypto is a plus for those who prefer digital assets. Fansly processes payout requests on demand (there isn’t a fixed pay period, you request when ready). Both Fansly and OnlyFans currently hold payouts for 7 days by policy, but Fansly’s quicker processing means creators often see funds arrive sooner once released. Fansly actually does care about its creators unlike other platforms and will cover and or dispute chargebacks for you. This is to a point however. Far too many chargebacks or ones found to be deserving of the chargeback will lead to the same account actions as any platform.
Content Policy
Fansly positions itself as more “creator-friendly” and lenient in content policies compared to OnlyFans. Importantly, Fansly did not attempt any ban on explicit adult content. Instead it was created to welcome adult creators and even gained popularity by assuring it wouldn’t suddenly flip on porn. Fansly’s Acceptable Use Policy still forbids illegal content (no minors, bestiality, actual non-consent, etc., like any platform), but it is known to allow certain kinks/fetishes that OnlyFans restricts. For example, Fansly is “more lenient with kinky content.” That being said, they recently have tightened their terms of service to be stricter against many kinks and fetishes that once made the platform so open and welcoming. Creators who produce BDSM or fetish content often report that Fansly tolerates themes (within legal boundaries) that would trip OnlyFans’ sensitive word filters. This means fewer worries about saying the “wrong word” in a DM. Nonetheless, Fansly does moderate content for safety and legality. Notably, public nudity/sex content must be done carefully if not at all: Fansly, like others, requires that any outdoor sexual content shows a “reasonable attempt” to be in a private setting (to avoid truly public, non-consensual exposure).
Overall, even with the recent tightening of restrictions, Fansly’s relatively more relaxed policy on fetishes and its stance of embracing adult content have made it attractive to creators who felt constrained by OnlyFans’ rules. Many describe Fansly as having a more “sex-positive” vibe where they can express niche fantasie as long as it’s clearly consensual and legal.

ManyVids
Platform & Audience
ManyVids is quite different from the above subscription-centric platforms. It’s a full-service adult content marketplace. I still felt it should have a mention thrown in here as it is a fantastic all around option. Launched in 2014, ManyVids started as a clip store for selling videos on demand, and it has grown into a “one-stop shop” for adult creators. The site attracts heavy traffic from porn consumers; creators often favor ManyVids because it has huge visitor numbers and built-in traffic (users actively browse the site for new videos or models). In fact, ManyVids functions more like an adult e-commerce site: fans can browse categories, search for models or niches, and see Top Rankings or trending videos on the homepage. This internal promotion is a big advantage. Like with Fansly, a creator with no social media could still potentially get discovered on ManyVids due to its high volume of users looking to buy content. (By contrast, OnlyFans pages are hidden unless you market them yourself.) ManyVids is open to creators of all genders and orientations, and it fosters a community vibe with contests and rankings. To benefit, creators need to upload regularly and participate in the site’s promotions, as consistency boosts sales on ManyVids.
Features & Selling Format
Unlike pure subscription platforms, ManyVids offers multiple ways to monetize: creators can sell individual videos (clips), set up subscription-based fan clubs, offer live cam shows, sell physical products or merch, and even charge for services like custom videos or live sessions. You’re essentially running a personal online storefront. Creators have control over pricing for each item:
- Clips/Videos: You upload videos that fans can purchase and download/stream. You set the price per video. Give this video a watch for a run down on how to upload videos.
- Subscriptions: ManyVids has a fanclub feature (formerly “MV Crush” or Membership) where fans pay a monthly fee for VIP access to your feed/content. This makes ManyVids an OnlyFans-like subscription hub if you choose, but it’s optional.
- Live Cam Streams: ManyVids integrates live streaming (often called MV Live). Creators can go on cam and earn from viewer tips or paid private shows, similar to cam sites.
- Custom Content and Services: You can list custom clip offerings or paid sexting sessions, etc., and fans can order through the platform. ManyVids also facilitated selling tangible items (such as merch, they no longer allow worn physical garment sales).
- Messaging & Interaction: ManyVids allows direct messages with fans. You can charge for unlocking message photos/videos, and also earn via video call features.
- ManyVids regularly runs contests and promotions that give creators extra exposure (e.g. themed video contests where top sellers get cash prizes and front-page features). This internal promotional machine, plus the site’s large established user base, means ManyVids can generate sales from organic site traffic. This is a big difference from the self-promotion grind on fanclub-only sites.
Payout & Commission
ManyVids uses a more complex commission structure. The platform’s base commission is 20%, similar to the others, but depending on what you sell, the platform’s cut can be higher. In fact, ManyVids takes 40% on certain sales. In practice:
-
- Clip Sales (Videos): Creators receive 60% of the sale price (ManyVids keeps 40%). The high cut is akin to traditional clip sites and covers the bandwidth/hosting costs of delivering videos.
- Subscriptions, Tips, and Services: ManyVids takes a smaller cut (around 20%) for other transactions like fan club subscriptions, customer tips, and custom content fees.
- All services payout percentages can be found here!
ManyVids’ payout schedule is weekly on wednesdays. That is, as long as you reach the minimum payout of $50. ManyVids supports methods like direct deposit, ACH, wire, and Paxum. It will usually take 3-5 business days for a payout to hit your bank.
Content Policy
ManyVids is an adult site that allows explicit pornographic content, but because it relies on standard payment processors, it must enforce content restrictions similar to OnlyFans’. Any illegal or truly extreme content is prohibited. ManyVids requires age verification for all performers and has strict rules against underage content, bestiality, real violence, etc. In terms of fetish content, ManyVids’ policies historically have been a bit more liberal than OnlyFans’ approach, but they still have to comply with credit card guidelines. For instance, depictions of consensual hardcore BDSM are allowed, to a point, but certain “edge” fetishes may be disallowed or require a disclaimer. Recently ManyVids did tighten restrictions on allowed content, specifically recently barring the sale of worn garments along with a few fetishes. Creators have noted that ManyVids does not allow bodily fluids like urine, feces, or vomit in videos, and likely disallows blood-play or extreme torture, as these would violate Mastercard rules (this aligns with what OnlyFans bans). ManyVids also has rules about public content – you can post outdoor nude/sex videos, but only if filmed on private property or in a way no unsuspecting public are involved (similar to Fansly’s stance). One advantage: ManyVids, being a platform “by and for” adult creators (the founders have roots in the industry), has a sex-positive reputation and has not threatened to ban porn. They actively celebrate all niches “regardless of your niche or how you express yourself”, as long as it’s legal. In summary, ManyVids allows creators to sell a broad range of adult content and fetish material, with restrictions mainly dictated by law and payment policy (so effectively similar hard lines as OnlyFans on things like non-consent, incest, extreme violence, etc.). Creators focusing on vanilla or moderate fetishes will find ManyVids accommodating, but more extreme fetish creators might still feel constrained by these necessary rules.

LoyalFans
Platform & Audience.
LoyalFans is a fanclub platform very much like OnlyFans, but started by veterans of the adult industry (it was formerly known as NexoCams before rebranding). It caters almost exclusively to adult content creators and their fan communities. A key selling point of LoyalFans is that it offers better discoverability for creators compared to OnlyFans. The platform allows creators to add keywords/tags to their profile, and it has a browsing feature where users can search and stumble across creator profiles by those tags or categories. In fact, “users can browse through content creator profiles and decide who they want to follow” on LoyalFans, which is a notable difference from OnlyFans’ closed-gates approach. This makes LoyalFans somewhat more friendly for newcomers without a huge social media following. The platform itself can channel some fans your way.
Features
LoyalFans offers a full suite of content options for creators:
- Subscriptions: Creators can set a monthly subscription price for access to their feed (photos, videos, etc.), just like OF. Fans pay recurring for the premium content.
- Live Streaming & Interaction: LoyalFans has built-in live stream capability, so creators can broadcast live video to their subscribers or offer pay-per-minute private shows. Real-time engagement can help deepen fan connections.
- Messaging and Customs: Direct messaging is available, and LoyalFans expands on this with features like voice notes (creators can send recorded voice messages in DMs) and the ability to sell personalized video shoutouts. This means you can take paid requests for short custom videos or audio messages easily through the platform.
- Clips and Media Sales: In addition to the subscription feed, creators can sell individual photo sets or clips. LoyalFans supports one-off purchases so fans can buy specific premium posts without subscribing, if the creator enables that. This is a great option for passive income. Staying consistent and keeping your SEO in mind will absolutely help.
- Tips and Shoutouts: Fans can tip posts or send tips in chat. LoyalFans also has a “promo shoutout” system: creators can pay to have their profile or content shouted out on the site for extra exposure, and even a referral program to earn from bringing in new creators or fans.
- Geoblocking & Privacy: LoyalFans gives creators fine control to block regions – it touts “more granular geoblocking”, meaning you can block not just by country but perhaps by state or city (useful if you want to hide from your local area). This is a step up from OnlyFans, which only allows country-level blocking.
The user experience on LoyalFans is comparable to Fansly (feeds, profiles, etc.), and the site is continuously adding features to compete. LoyalFans’ community is almost entirely adult content-focused. They also host educational webinars (e.g. they’ve had successful creators teach classes) to help new models succeed.
Payout & Commission
LoyalFans uses the standard 80/20 revenue split – creators keep 80% and the platform takes 20%. The payout schedule is a bit different: LoyalFans pays out twice a month (bi-monthly), rather than on-demand. Specifically, payouts occur on the 1st and 15th of each month (this is common for many adult platforms). Creators must have at least $50 earned to be included in the pay period payout. If you don’t meet the $50 minimum by a pay date, your earnings roll over to the next. This schedule is somewhat less flexible than OnlyFans (which allows request at $20 anytime), but many creators don’t mind bi-monthly payouts as long as it’s regular. LoyalFans supports a variety of payout methods: ACH/direct deposit for U.S., wire transfers, SEPA for EU, and likely eWallets like Paxum for international users. One thing to note: since LoyalFans doesn’t do on-demand withdrawals, creators need to be aware of the fixed pay dates – it’s reliable but not instant. On the positive side, LoyalFans paying on a schedule means you don’t have to remember to cash out; if your balance is over $50 at the cut-off, it will be sent automatically. The platform’s financial terms are overall comparable to OnlyFans aside from the timing and threshold differences. Similar to Fansly, LoyalFans also cares about its creators and fights chargebacks. According to their section 18.5 subsectione e.:
“Tips are chargeable when made. We will not return a tip made from your account except in situations that we consider, in our sole discretion, to be extraordinary.”
Content Policy
LoyalFans explicitly welcomes adult content and was built with that in mind. As such, the company has not signaled any intention to ban explicit content. Allowed content on LoyalFans is similar to OnlyFans: consensual adult nudity, sex acts, and some fetish content are fine. Prohibited content will likewise include anything non-consensual, any depiction of minors (even roleplay implication), bestiality, extreme violence, and so forth (the standard legal no-go’s). Because LoyalFans uses traditional payment processors, it bans the same extreme fetish categories that OnlyFans does (e.g. urine/scat, extreme gore, incest roleplay, etc. would violate their terms or card rules). We don’t have a published banned-word list for LoyalFans, but creators should assume that anything that would get you banned on OF would also be problematic on LoyalFans. One differentiator: LoyalFans might be a bit more flexible with fetish content presentation. Being a smaller platform closely working with creators, they may handle issues more case-by-case rather than by automated word-filters. They have a reputation for responsive support (for example, answering creator questions or issues faster than OF’s often-criticized support). Additionally, LoyalFans, by virtue of its name, emphasizes ethical fan/creator interactions – things like escorting or prostitution services are banned on the platform (just as they are on OF) and using the platform to arrange in-person meetups for pay is not allowed. In summary, LoyalFans’ terms of service align with mainstream adult content standards: very permissive of sexual content but with firm lines drawn to satisfy legal and financial partners. Creators can feel confident that standard porn content is welcome, and the platform’s adult-industry leadership means they strongly stand by the creators (for instance, it’s unlikely LoyalFans would ever ban porn unless forced by outside factors). Always check their official AUP for specific restrictions, but in practice LoyalFans is a safe haven for the same range of content you’d post on OnlyFans (minus the worry of sudden corporate policy flip-flops).

FanCentro
Platform & Audience
FanCentro is a platform that enables influencers and adult performers to monetize “fan clubs” but it started with a twist. FanCentro originally gained popularity by allowing creators to sell access to their private social media (such as Snapchat or Telegram) in addition to posting content on the site. It markets itself as an “influencer fan club” network and a hub for all your exclusive content. I have all of zero experience with this platform, so this will be entirely research based. Bare with me…. FanCentro is notable for strong discoverability features. The platform has an advanced search and discovery tool where fans can filter creators by niche and even by personal attributes. For example, FanCentro’s site lets users discover models based on gender, body type, height, etc. via its search filters. This means a fan looking for, say, “tattooed Latina creators” or “BBW blonde models” can find new people to follow on FanCentro easily. Such granularity in search sets FanCentro apart as “the indisputable winner” in discoverability when compared to OnlyFans. Additionally, FanCentro profiles can be customized heavily. Creators can even link a custom domain to their FanCentro page to brand it as their own site.
The user base on FanCentro is smaller than OnlyFans, but the platform actively drives traffic through its own marketing and via affiliate partners. In terms of partnership they recently fully integrated with pornhub. They’ve been called the “world’s largest platform for influencer fan-clubs” and have been vocal in supporting adult creators’ rights (FanCentro publicly opposed Tumblr’s adult ban and even engaged in a lawsuit alleging OnlyFans’ anti-competitive practices).
Features
FanCentro offers a rich set of features for monetization and engagement:
FanCentro offers a rich set of features for monetization and engagement:
- Subscription Feed & Stories: Fans can subscribe to a creator’s FanCentro feed, which includes posts and also stories (similar to Instagram stories that expire). Subscribers get exclusive updates, private photo/video posts, and story content from the creator. Creators can set up multiple subscription tiers or bundles; for example, a basic tier might include just the feed, higher tiers might include additional perks like premium Snapchat access or one-on-one chats.
- Private Social Media Access: A unique FanCentro offering is the ability to sell access to private social accounts. Creators often connect a private Snapchat, Telegram, or Instagram and offer it as part of a subscription package. For instance, fans could subscribe at a higher rate to be friends on a model’s private Snapchat where daily NSFW snaps are posted. This “premium social” market is something FanCentro tapped into early, and it remains a distinguishing feature.
- Direct Messaging and Mass DMs: FanCentro has an internal messaging system. Creators can send one-on-one DMs or blast out mass pay-to-unlock messages to all followers (similar to OF/Fansly PPVs). FanCentro allows not just text and media, but also voice messages in DMs. These can be either free or paid voice notes that can be sent to individuals or to one’s entire list of subscribers.
- Live Streaming & Calls: FanCentro has rolled out a live streaming feature so creators can broadcast live video to their fans on the platform. You can go live for all subscribers or do special shows to entice followers to subscribe. Moreover, FanCentro introduced a “Calls” feature, enabling paid one-on-one audio or video calls between fans and creators. Creators set a per-minute rate for these calls. Essentially monetizing live interactions in a controlled way. This is something OnlyFans and many others don’t natively offer on-platform.
- Clips and Store: Similar to LoyalFans, FanCentro lets creators sell individual clips or bundles in addition to subscriptions. There’s also a possibility to sell physical merchandise or shoutouts, as the platform is quite flexible in letting you list what you want.
- Fan Management: One unique aspect is creators can manage their subscribers list more granularly. FanCentro even lets creators approve or deny follow requests if they want their fan club to be more private. This optional gatekeeping can be useful for screening out known personal contacts or trolls.
- Promotional Tools: FanCentro encourages use of a personal website or domain and even provides a basic website builder for creators (via their ModelCentro integration).
- They also have an affiliate/refer-a-fan program: supporters can promote a model’s content and earn a cut if new customers subscribe, which can help creators get exposure through a network of affiliates.
Payout & Commission
FanCentro’s commission rate is slightly higher than the typical 20%. Creators keep 75% and FanCentro takes a 25% cut of earnings. According to the platform, part of that (10%) goes to payment processing costs and 15% is the platform’s share. In return, FanCentro argues it provides more features and discovery for that higher commission. When it comes to payout frequency, FanCentro processes payments weekly. They have a policy that new creators must wait three weeks after joining before their first payout, as a security/anti-fraud buffer. After that initial period, payouts are sent out every Tuesday (assuming you’ve met the minimum threshold). Uniquely, FanCentro lets creators set their own minimum payout threshold (within limits). Normally the minimum can be as low as $50, but a creator could choose to accumulate up to, say, $300 before getting paid, if they prefer bigger lump sums. Payments can be sent via check, ACH (bank transfer), wire, SEPA (for Europe), or even in cryptocurrency (USDT). This inclusion of Tether (USDT, a stablecoin) is notable because it gives an option for those who prefer crypto payouts to avoid bank involvement. FanCentro also supports Paxum and other e-wallets commonly used in the adult industry. One thing to highlight: OnlyFans pays on-demand (with a hold) whereas FanCentro’s weekly cycle means you might wait a bit for funds, but then it becomes a routine. Both models have their pros/cons. FanCentro’s 25% cut is a bit steeper for creators, but if you value the extra site-driven traffic and features like calls and social media integration, many find the trade-off worth it.
Content Policy
FanCentro is an adult-friendly platform with a staunch pro-sex-work stance, but it abides by legal and financial rules similar to its peers. You can post explicit adult material (photos, videos, live shows, etc.) and incorporate all kinds of fetishes so long as they are legal and consensual. FanCentro has publicly stated it’s sex-positive and even condemns censorship (e.g., they criticized Tumblr’s adult ban as harmful). However, practical content restrictions on FanCentro will mirror those on any site that uses credit card payments:
- Absolutely no underage or bestiality content (including roleplay insinuations) – zero tolerance, as with everyone.
- No real non-consensual or sexual violence. They have a “zero-tolerance policy towards non-consensual content”, meaning even staged CNC-play is likely forbidden or handled very carefully. Terms like “rape” are not to be used. Creators often avoid banned terms just as they would on OF.
- Extreme fetish content (gore, blood, scat, etc.) is disallowed due to payment guidelines. FanCentro hasn’t published a list of banned words like ManyVids, but we can infer that fetishes involving bodily fluids or serious harm are not allowed. They want to maintain compliance, so expect similar rules (no peeing or poop content, no extreme mutilation or lethal fantasy, etc.).
- It is always best to reach out and ask about if a type of content can be posted or not if you are un-sure.
- On the plus side, FanCentro’s more supportive attitude might make them more open to certain edgy content with proper disclaimers.
In essence, FanCentro’s TOS is comparable to OnlyFans’ in terms of content allowed, because both ultimately must adhere to the same payment standards. The big difference is trust: creators feel FanCentro champions adult creators. They have more direct support channels (including live chat support and active social media assistance), and they haven’t wavered on allowing explicit content. FanCentro even provides educational resources (their blog) to help creators navigate these rules. As always, creators should familiarize themselves with FanCentro’s acceptable use policies, but they can generally expect a welcoming environment for mainstream adult content, with discoverability and tools that make it easier to thrive without fear of sudden adult content bans.

MintStars
Platform & Audience
MintStars is a newer player (founded in 2022) positioning itself as an “ethical,” creator-first alternative to OnlyFans. It’s a subscription platform for adult creators and their fans, with a tech-savvy twist: MintStars is powered by cryptocurrency (blockchain) behind the scenes. The target audience includes fans interested in exclusive content and creators who want more control over their earnings and content rights. MintStars is relatively small and does not bring significant built-in traffic – in fact, the platform “relies heavily on the performer to drive their own traffic”. There’s no robust internal search or recommendation feed; it’s more like a private club you invite your fans to. That being said, one of my longest lasting subscribers there did end up just stumbling upon me there. While MintStars may not have the huge audience of OF, it differentiates itself by creator-friendly policies, extremely high payouts, and support for niche fetish content that other sites ban.
Features
MintStars combines familiar fanclub features with innovative content selling options (The following is an exerpt from this recent post where we did a deep dive on mintstars):
- “Subscriptions: Just like other fan sites, you can offer monthly subscriptions. Fans subscribe to your profile for a monthly fee that you set, and in return they get access to your exclusive feed of content (photos, videos, etc.) and possibly other perks you decide on. What’s unique is that on MintStars, subscription content isn’t just for viewing. It comes as collectible items (more on that in the next bullet point). For pricing, you have full control to choose what makes sense for your content and audience. And remember, MintStars takes 0% of your subscription earnings. You charge $20/month, you get the full $20 (the fan pays an extra 5% fee to the platform). This is a big contrast to sites that might take 20% or more of your sub income. Y’all the IRS (or equivalent) takes enough of our pay. It’s about time a platform is doing this for us!
- Single Content Sales (Collectibles): Besides (or in addition to) subscriptions, you can sell individual pieces of content. Think of these like clips or photo sets that fans can buy à la carte. MintStars leverages NFTs to let you create limited-edition content drops. For example, you could post a spicy photoshoot or a solo video and say only 10 copies are available for sale. Upload that (with their lightning fast uploader – in comparison to other platforms) and then fans can buy them as digital collectibles. You set whatever price you want for each. Because these are NFTs, fans own that content item once they buy it (they get a token proving ownership) and can even resell it later. This creates a bit of trading card excitement around your content and can drive fans to snag items quickly. The key point is you get paid upfront for each sale, with no cut taken by MintStars, and you’re also entitled to royalties if that item is resold (see next bullet). Breath though, this is only allowed on the platform. And though they are granted a non-exclusive license to view and resell, that original is still our property, as stated in the user terms and conditions for fans in section 12 And 10. (Big tip here, watermark everything!)
- Resale Royalties: This is where MintStars truly stands out. Every time a fan resells one of your content NFTs to another fan on the platform, you earn a royalty automatically. You can set the percentage for your resale royalties (common is around 10%. Personally, I set my royalties to 30%. Is that likely to deter resale or even sales overall? Yes. But that’s not my overall main purpose for the platform, so that fits with my business model.). For example, a fan buys your clip for $10 and later another user buys it from them for $15; that reseller fan keeps most of the profit, but you would get $4.50 (30%) from that resale without lifting a finger. It’s passive income that can continue long after your initial sale. MintStars’ model actively encourages fans to promote and re-sell content for this reason, creating a win-win: fans earn, and you keep earning too.
- Tips and Custom Requests: Beyond structured sales, MintStars allows good ol’ tipping. This is a main reason I love this platform. Fans can tip any amount to show appreciation, either through the platform or via MintPay links you share. Some creators might use this as a way to accept payments for custom content or special requests. Because tips have zero fees taken out on the creator side, MintStars is great for accepting payment for one-off services like customs, sexting sessions, etc. The fan simply sends the tip and you deliver the agreed content privately. All of it stays within MintStars’ ecosystem (safe and discreet).
- Referrals: Now, I’m having a hard time remembering off the top of my head, but it was either late 2024, or early 2025 they launched their creator referral program. It’s extremely simple and follows most platforms format. Simply invite a friend using your link, your friend verifies their account, and then This is where mint steps up the game. Once that friend earns their first $20 on the platform, you are earning a $25 reward. That $25 reward is paid out once you have reached five referrals. And because we take advantage of all income opportunities here, if you are thinking of joining, please feel free to use this link!
- Subscriptions: Just like other fan sites, you can offer monthly subscriptions.
Community and Support
The MintStars team is PHENOMENAL They are always working at 119% and busting their butts to shake through any growing pains and help every step of the way. That is purely my experience and many others. Because it’s smaller, creators often get more personalized support (the founders have pitched it as a platform built to empower sex workers). They even have a creators discord where team members, including the CEO, are there for creators. If you bring your fanbase, MintStars ensures you maximize earnings from them.
Payout & Commission
MintStars has a radically different payout model: creators keep 100% of the prices they set on content and subscriptions. In other words, MintStars technically takes a 0% cut from creators. The platform makes money by charging fans a fee on transactions (roughly 10% on top of the listed price). For example, if you price a video at $10, the fan might pay ~$11 total, where that extra $1 goes to MintStars for processing and platform costs. This is an unusual but very attractive model for creators: you earn the full amount you wanted, and the customer essentially covers the site fee. Payment processing on MintStars is done via cryptocurrency (with a third-party crypto payment processor), which is what enables this model. Because crypto transactions have lower fees and fewer content restrictions, MintStars can operate without taking a big cut from creators and without paying high fees to banks. However, fans can still pay with regular methods. MintStars handles the crypto conversion in the back end, so neither the creator nor the fan needs to be crypto-savvy. This also means payouts to creators aren’t dependent on traditional banks.
- MintStars’ payout speed and convenience are top-notch:
- No minimum payouts. you can withdraw any amount, large or small.
- On-demand, instant payouts – creators don’t wait for weekly cycles; you can cash out whenever and the payment is processed immediately. This is possible because crypto processing means once a payment from a fan is confirmed, those funds aren’t subject to lengthy hold periods or chargeback windows like credit cards (crypto payments are irreversible). Essentially, you get paid in real-time.
- Payout methods: MintStars can pay creators via various methods: direct debit card transfers, bank transfers like ACH, and of course cryptocurrency payouts.
The bottom line is MintStars is designed to maximize creator earnings: no platform fee out of your pocket, and you don’t have to wait long to get your money. For high-volume earners, keeping that extra 20% (compared to other sites) is huge. Do note that fans might hesitate at the ~10% surcharge on purchases, but many are willing if they know it supports the creator
Content Policy
MintStars is by far the most fetish-friendly and lenient in terms of content among these platforms. Since all payments are processed via crypto (bypassing Visa/Mastercard’s strict content rules), MintStars’ content guidelines are basically only governed by actual law and creator consent.
They allow a much wider range of fetishes, including many that “may not be allowed on other websites that adhere to strict payment processing regulations.“. Examples of fetishes explicitly permitted on MintStars (as long as they’re legal and consensual) include:
- Consensual Non-Consent (CNC) roleplay, i.e. rape fantasy content, which is banned on OF, can be done on MintStars with appropriate content warnings.
- Hypnosis fetish (hypnotizing a viewer or a partner).
- Intense Bondage (e.g. four-limb bondage) that some platforms might flag as too extreme.
- Blood play and other bodily fluid, yes. MintStars allows things like menstrual blood scenes, impact play that causes bleeding, urine/vomit fetish content, etc., provided it’s consensual and legal. They do ask creators to put content warnings in descriptions for such material, but it is not banned .
- In general, hardcore BDSM, edge play, and niche fetishes (like violent roleplay, heavy medical play, etc.) are accommodated on MintStars in ways they never could be on OF/Fansly (those sites ban even the words for these acts).
- Of course, certain lines still exist: anything actually illegal (real underage content, real non-consent/assault, bestiality, necrophilia with real bodies, etc.) is absolutely prohibited. MintStars isn’t a lawless zone; it follows state/government law strictly. But it doesn’t add extra morality-based restrictions beyond that.
- Another thing MintStars does not have is geo-blocking. Creators cannot block regions on MintStars. This is one downside of the crypto model: because of its decentralized nature, MintStars doesn’t filter access by country. So if a creator is worried about, say, their hometown or country seeing their content, MintStars doesn’t offer the safety net of blocking that area. Creators would have to rely on pseudonyms and hope not to be stumbled upon. (By contrast, most other platforms let you block at least entire countries).
- MintStars requires standard ID verification (KYC) for creators (18+ only) just like any platform. It’s as secure as others on that front.
In summary, MintStars’ terms of service around content are the most permissive of any mainstream platform: as long as it’s legal porn, it’s welcome. For fetish performers who have been frustrated by banned-words and limitations on sites like OnlyFans, MintStars is a breath of fresh air – they explicitly mention you can cater to fetishes like CNC, heavy BDSM, watersports, etc., which are strictly forbidden elsewhere. The trade-off is that you must bring your own audience (since MintStars isn’t a household name with millions of browsing users), and you can’t hide from your local region. But the platform’s promise of no financial discrimination and full creative freedom is a game-changer for many creators. Essentially, MintStars trusts creators and fans to engage in whatever consensual adult content they want, without the platform policing your kinks.

Final Thoughts
Choosing the right platform depends on a creator’s priorities and content style. OnlyFans remains the giant with an unrivaled user base and familiarity, but it offers no internal promotion and enforces prudish content rules despite allowing porn. Upcomer Fansly mimics what works in OF while improving discoverability and fetish leniency – it’s a strong secondary platform or backup, and many creators use both (often keeping OnlyFans as a main page and Fansly as a growing side page). ManyVids stands out if you want a marketplace environment: it brings in shoppers on its own and lets you diversify income streams (clip sales, live shows, etc.), though its higher commission on videos and requirement to upload frequently are things to weigh. LoyalFans is a solid OnlyFans alternative operated by industry folks. It offers similar features with better searchability and some unique touches (voice notes, etc.), paying reliably twice monthly. FanCentro is ideal for creators who want a more professional fan club setup with advanced tools (like calls and social integration) and who don’t mind giving up 25% for the extra promotion and support; it’s a platform that actively fights for sex worker interests. Finally, MintStars is an innovative upstart: it’s best for creators with an established fanbase seeking maximum earnings and creative freedom, especially fetish performers who chafe under typical content bans. With MintStars, you keep all your money and can produce edgier content… but you’ll need to hustle to bring in your fans since the platform itself is smaller and offers little built-in audience discovery.
In general, a creator might “multi-home”. Aka using different platforms to leverage each one’s strengths. For example, selling clips on ManyVids, maintaining a primary subscription feed on OnlyFans or LoyalFans, and perhaps offering ultra-kinky content on MintStars for the aficionados. What’s clear is that someone new to this space should learn about each platform’s fees, payout schedules, features, and content policies before deciding. The differences in internal promotion can affect how you market yourself, the differences in features can affect how you engage fans (live streams, DMs, etc.), and the payout and TOS differences will directly impact your earnings and the type of content you can safely create. By understanding these distinctions, creators can choose the platforms that best align with their content strategy, financial needs, and comfort with the rules.
